There are experiences in our life that really pound us down.  When those “experiences” happen we can either fold, run away, fight or find another solution.

You never know how your reactions will be perceived, but you can always know that someone is watching.

I love the anonymous quote, “You May Be One Person To The World, But You May Be The World To One Person.”

That alone should eliminate the hopelessness that seems to come with depression and suicide.  But, alas, it doesn’t.

As Germany was pounding the brits, we can all quote Winston Churchill as he said, “Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, give in. Never give in. Never give in. Never give in.”

I want us all to think of some experiences in our life where we were “temporarily” hopeless.  Now, think back to how that situation was temporary at best.  It is NEVER hopeless.

In Star Trek there is a term called the Kobayashi Maru.  I don’t know the exact spelling of it, I could even Google it if I chose.  It is the “No Win Scenario”.  You are placed in a situation where there is no possible way of winning to see how you react to it.

Well, that doesn’t exist.  There is ALWAYS a way to pull out a victory!!  There is ALWAYS hope.

Many of you have heard that it is not over until the fat lady sings.  But, I tell you there is always hope.  I love this cartoon.  I am sure many of you have seen it, but for those that have not:

Never Give Up!!

Never Give Up!!

This frog knows exactly what I am saying.  fight until you are dead for those things you believe in and want to achieve in your life.  Your persistence will scare away the crooks, whiners and complainers that try to hold you down in life.  Cutoff their method of chewing you up!

I challenge you in the coming weeks to stare down that which makes you hopeless and let that situation, person or event know that you are gonna kick butt and take no prisoners yourself.  Try harder than you have EVER tried, work harder than you think you can and succeed at your own Kobayashi Maru.

And, I want you to bookmark this post, come back here and comment on your success.  I want you to brag openly about how you overcame the unbeatable foe.  How did you beat that situation.  How is your life and confidence been changed as a result of your unwillingness to let that person or situation take you down.

NO ONE can take you down without YOUR permission permanently.  You have to give it to them.

Captain Kirk!

Or just Rob.
