For Those Who Wish to Improve

There is always a reason to keep moving forward.  There are very few if any to quit.

The key to success is that Persistent People Press On and people who are unsuccessful quit.  We often find success right on the backside of failure.  When we succeed, the money come in such numbers that we are overwhelmed by the amount initially.

We are a product of our thinking.  Therefore, we need to impress first upon ourselves and then our team how critical it is to keep moving toward our goals.  No one else is going to help us with our attitudes.  Therefore, it is critical that we manufacture and feed our brains and souls with those goals and aspirations that we wish to accomplish.

We need to continually remind ourselves and “TELL” ourselves, what we are doing, how we are going to do it and what it looks like when its done.  Again, no one else is going to provide vision for your life as they are too busy creating and developing their own plans.

They key to all this is to continue when others quit.  You need to press on as all around you crumbles or succeeds.  You are the master of your destiny and the key to your own private persistence vault of good thoughts.

Whether you blame others or ultimately take responsibility yourself, time is going to march on.

Take advantage of those hours that are provided you in the day to succeed.

In creating anything new, you must exert more effort than you get for the output.  It has been said that it takes 10 units of effort to create 1 unit of output initially.  I would have to agree with this idea.  Everything I have ever started tends to take a lot of effort initially and then after time, experience and expertise, it seems that the level of effort decreases.

That decreasing effort seems to follow a curve.

The point is, there are many of you who start something new and expect great results immediately.  I believe this is a false hope.  There will always be extra effort initially and you need to be aware of that and the fact that you cannot change the laws of return on investment.

Similar to the laws of physics, there are laws of ROI, Business and Personal Reward.  These laws cannot be circumvented.  If you drop an apple it will NOT fall up.  Likewise, concentrated effort in business or personal development will NOT return void.

So, when you are starting anything, be prepared to exert that extra effort initially for the final rewards long-term.

As many of you know, my son Chris Wheeler has cancer and has been going through chemo-therapy.  It has been a harrowing experience for him and a frustrating experience for Dad to say the least.

He has submitted an entry to Make-A-Wish Foundation and been excepted.

His wish is to “trick” his truck.  It is a great opportunity.

Anyway, here’s the point.  There is a site that we can all make a donation and help Chris get his “wish”.

Check out this site where you can learn more about it.

Thank you for reading my entries.

For most of your life you have heard the ageless expression that “Its not what you make, its what you……keep”

Right?

WRONG?

It not what you make, its what you DO with what you make.

There has been so much made about keeping it in the family, or keeping your money.  However, you must DO something with every penny that comes in and those who truly understand how to DO are the ones that will become wealthy and be able to live free in retirement.  By “free” I mean that you won’t have a debt owed to:

  • Your friends
  • The Federal Government
  • Your Family

Very few retire free.

I’ve come to understand that many people do not understand these fundamental concepts.  With that in mind, I am going to start a series on Personal Financial Acumen.

There are many subjects attached to this, but here are a few:

  • Family Budget
  • Job vs Business
  • Estate Management
  • Investing

Anyway, I will be posting the overview and adding it to the RESOURCES tab above here.

In the video below, I introduce you to Bob Cosgrove.  He is a financial Guru.  This is a presentation on managing your money right.  It is about 50 minutes so get some popcorn.  Its worth it.  He is turning Personal Financial Acumen on its ear.

Wow!  I hope you will pass this along.

This was a fun training with a lot of feedback…

Do you remember your first kiss…

Think back…How did it feel….How did you feel…What
made you desire to kiss that person…What if…you could
create that same desire in those who come in contact
with you whether it is on the web or in person.

How would you like to become flat out irresistible to
those who you market to?  What would that mean to
your pocketbook?

Come find out how to create desire in your life and in
your work.

Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’

This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.
As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,

so … Love the people who treat you right.

Pray for the ones who don’t.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

I am often asked, “Rob, there are thousands of websites I should join.  Can you suggest the ones that I should join if I am marketing?”

Most of the time I answer with some convoluted version of there are too many and I am NOT really “endorsing” any company or site other that mine really.  However, the subject is coming up more and more and I think I should allow for that question.

So, you want the list?

Here you go.

Fill out the form below and I will send you a google doc ready to enter.  NOT some PDF or form that you can’t actually use.

Also, that google doc includes the 130 web 2.0 and beyond sites that any marketer should be involved in.

For those of you that are close you may know that my son (Chris) has cancer.  recently we got some results.  Here is a post from his “Journal”.

Got the results from Chris’s scans……

and…….13 of the 14 tumors he had are NOW GONE!!! and his biggest and most dangerous one is now only 2cm big!! So we are set to go into the fourth round of chemo dealing with a butterbean sized tumor.

We are sitting here on Sunday afternoon watching the final round of the Masters while still in the hospital. Chris is eating and drinking again and is off his pain and nausea medications. There is a strong chance he will be released from round three on Monday and then home for a few weeks to rejoice in the fact that he is 98% clean!!

God has heard our prayers and all of the Glory and Honor goes to Him!! Thank You LORD!!!
