Traffic Cop
When I was young, I used to always be impressed by the power of the traffic cop. He would hold up his hand and people with 3500 – 5000 or more would stop. Wow! What power!
It always takes time to generate traffic naturally to your site or blog. Sometimes it is hard to wait for those results. If you want to temporarily speed up the process, there are ways that you can do that.
You can create micro-bursts of traffic through a number of methods. The purpose of this micro-burst of traffic is to offset the initial lack of sales or traffic. I have three methods below that can help you drive traffic that are proven and work.
Pay-Per-Click – PPC is a always an easy way to drive traffic, but has become a little tricky to provide results. You can still get results, but you must work harder to create
Traffic Exchange – Traffic exchanges can help you get traffic by posting your page and creating traffic by you earning traffic. You usually earn traffic by surfing.
Paid Traffic – You can use services that send traffic to you for certain amounts. For instance you can pay $250 a month and 3000 visitors to your site or whatever the service and amount may be. Some are more expensive, some are less. The point is that you can PAY for monthly traffic.
All of these are options for driving traffic through forced methods.
The Traffic Exchange method of driving traffic is one of the fastest ways to generate bulk traffic to your site. It can drive traffic from a number of sources. It is not a long term solution by any means, but it can initiate a lot of traffic and interest in your site.
Most traffic exchanges are setup, so that the more you surf, the more people surf you. As long as your content is compelling you should do well with them.
Be careful of your expectations for these as they are NOT targeted and will not bring huge numbers back. But, they are an effective first step in generating some traffic and excitement to your site. Additionally, Google and the other search engines will weed out many of these sites and the raw benefit you would receive from the visit is minimized.
Nevertheless, I do like their “burst” capabilities and the fact that they do drive traffic.
Let me know if you have had a “great” traffic exchange experience.
